ABOUT THE PROJECT
Grayce Skin Co. is a Knoxville-based aesthetics and wellness boutique led by Farrah Miles, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a gentle presence and clear point of view. From the start, Farrah was intentional about building a practice that didn’t feel transactional and a space for clients that didn’t feel ordinary. The experience she offers is personal, grounded, and rooted in trust. She was looking for photography that could hold that same energy – photography that feels personalized, elegant, exceptional, and nurturing.
Because Grayce Skin Co was a new business in need of several different types of photography for digital and print materials, this project unfolded in thoughtful phases – allowing us to photograph the recently finished boutique space, branded products, several services offered, and most importantly, and the caring way she works with clients.
PROJECT GOALS
- Create a cohesive image library that reflects the calm, intentional Grayce experience
- Capture the space, products, and client interactions in a way that feels natural and unforced
- Build imagery that could be used consistently across website, social media, and print
We leaned into nuanced lighting, refined simplicity, and an understated palette to stay aligned with her visual identity. The images included interior details, clean product shots, behind-the-scenes images of Farrah at work, and quiet portraits that reflect her calm professionalism. Her daughter joined us for part of the session, which brought a beautiful layer of authenticity and connection. Every element, from wardrobe choices to the timing of sunlight streaming through the windows, was considered with care. Professional Makeup for Farrah was done by Jessica Curtis and Hair Styling by Krista Segars.
The Results
Wrap up
Working with Farrah reminded me of the value of building slowly and intentionally. We didn’t need to stage or exaggerate anything. Her space speaks for itself. Her values were already clear. My job was to listen, observe, and create with care.
